Job Description
Due to growth, we are now seeking a Teacher Aide (internally known as an Assistant Team Leader) to join our Toowoomba campus in a term-time contract capacity to the end of Term 4 2024.
This is a part-time 4-day week role, 20 hours, 9am to 3pm. Ideally Tuesday to Friday however this is flexible.
As an Assistant Team Leader, you will contribute to the provision of a quality education service for our young people by assisting and supporting our Team Leaders (Teachers) with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide learning space supervision and support for young people with disabilities
Administration assistance duties including typing Team Leader notes and work programs
Maintain anecdotal records of young people to encourage and promote the learning experience
Assist Young People in complying with Team Leader instructions as required
Creating positive and proactive relationships with young people, parents, and employees that leads to a supportive and positive College community

Skills and experience:
Experience working with young people with special needs in a classroom setting
A passion for helping others and seeing young people thrive in their learning environment
Certificate III in school-based education support or equivalent is desirable
Certificate lV in Training and Assessment is desirable
Current working with Children Blue Card
Current driver's licence
First aid and CPR
